If you are going to get soaked anywhere, the Green Man festival is the place to do it. Although the green fields of Glanusk Park quickly become a mud bath, the beauty of the surroundings is undiminished; fairy lights sparkle in conifers, candyfloss mist smothers Sugar Loaf Mountain and bubbles fill the air. In the Green Man Cafe, it's the folk upstarts who shine. The itinerary for Thee, Stranded Horse's July tour in China has changed again: overall there are now 14 dates and Yann will now visit seven cities in all, with dates in Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzen, Nanjing, Shanghai and Tianjin, followed by a mini-tour of the Beijing area, with no less than seven shows in the vicinity. Also confirmed are some European dates book-ending the China trip: Thee, Stranded Horse will play LAWM (Lancaster, 21 June), the Fusion Festival (Larz, Germany, 26 June), the European EXPO in Zaragoza as a duo with Ballake Sissoko (1 August) and Niort, France (23 August).
